At Bellevue Music Academy, our Composition, Violin, and Vocal group lessons are not limited to
notes and rhythm—we specialize in training young musicians to express with true artistry that
moves the heart.
Each class is designed to develop not just skill, but the ability to communicate emotion through music.
🎵 COMPOSITION CLASS (Saturday 11AM-12PM)
Let Your Music Speak Your Heart
Discover your musical voice through composition with Ms. Sharon, a composer of choral, piano,
and orchestral works, officially published and performed. Her class nurtures creativity and
deepens musical understanding.
✍ PROGRAM DETAILS
• For: Students with 1+ year of piano lessons
• Learn to:
◦ Build melodies and develop full pieces
◦ Understand musical structure and form
◦ Explore harmony, texture, and orchestration
• Goal: Develop originality, grow beyond performance, and prepare for composition
competitions
💻 NOTATION & PUBLISHING
Use Sibelius, StaffPad, and other tools to professionally score your music and prepare it for
publication.

Looking for a second instrument?
Join our new Group Violin Class taught by Ms. Sharon, a choir and orchestra conductor,
composer, and former violin student coach at Juilliard Pre-College.
You'll build a solid foundation and learn to express beautiful, moving melodies with precision
and artistry.
🎼 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
• Proper bowing technique, fingering, and posture for healthy playing
• Musical phrasing and expressive storytelling through sound
• Pitch accuracy and intonation through ear training
• Left-hand form and technique for long-term growth
• Music theory applied directly to playing
• Ensemble skills: listening, blending, and following a conductor

🎤 VOCAL CLASS (Wednesday 7-8 PM)

As the conductor of Peace Presbyterian Church of Seattle and a classically trained musician, Ms.
Sharon offers expert guidance for developing strong, expressive voices. Developing vocal
technique not only strengthens the voice—it also inspires deeper musical expression in
composition and instrumental performance, creating powerful synergy across all areas of
musicianship.

🏛 Class size: Max. 8 students per class. Each group class requires a minimum of 3
students to open. If fewer than 3 students enroll, the class may be canceled and tuition
will be fully refunded or credited toward another class.
